National Car Rental’s Pop-Up Emerald Club Lounges
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting National Car Rental’s Emerald Club Lounge at Denver International Airport (DIA). National developed the Emerald Club Lounge to provide a convenient place at the airport where travelers can relax and recharge. The pop-up lounge at DIA is located past security in Terminal B, across from gate 14.
The complimentary Emerald Club Lounge at DIA is a great amenity for business travelers. DIA is somewhat limited in lounge offerings and comfy seating. All three airline lounges located in DIA (Delta Sky Club, United Club, and American Airlines Admirals Club) charge a whopping $59 for a day pass.
Named after the company’s award-winning Emerald Club loyalty program, the lounges have some wonderful amenities for travelers, including free Wi-Fi, charging stations and comfy chairs. Travelers can also access tablets and TVs to check flight status and catch up on news, weather and sports.
Lounge visitors can also get information about the National app, watch National’s new TV commercials featuring actor Patrick Warburton and enroll in the Emerald Club, which expedites the rental process by offering counter bypass as well as access to National’s “Emerald Aisle,” an exclusive section of the lot where members can select any vehicle as long as they reserve a mid-sized car.
The lounges are open 24/7 with a National staff member on duty from 7 a.m. -7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Travelers who are waiting to board or would like to relax between connections will find the Emerald Club Lounges past the security checkpoint at the following U.S. airports this July:
- Denver International Airport (DIA): Terminal B, Across from B14
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD): Terminal 3, Concourses G,H,K & L
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW): Terminal C, Across from Gate C2
- Louis Lambert International Airport (STL): Terminal 2, Concourse E, Southwest
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA): Before security at 1 or 2 main entrances
All airport locations were selected based on the percentage of passengers who travel for business. Have you been to an Emerald Club Lounge?
